Turning data into
insight and impact

Assistant Professor at the University of Warwick. I research digital health and AI in mental health โ€” and build tools that put data to work for real people.

Research, data, and a bit of building

I'm an Assistant Professor and Senior Research Fellow in the Mental Health & Wellbeing Unit at the University of Warwick Medical School, where I work at the intersection of data science, digital health, and cognitive neuroscience.

My PhD โ€” completed jointly at Imperial College London and Goldsmiths, University of London โ€” was in Neuroscience, building on an MRes in Brain Imaging from the University of Birmingham and a dual honours BSc in Psychology and Music from Keele University.

I've worked across King's College London, the Maudsley Biomedical Research Centre, and as a Football Data Scientist at a London tech startup. I also teach PhD students data science and Python from an industry perspective.

Outside academia I build digital products โ€” most recently SmartPaper, an AI-powered practice paper app for primary school children.
